Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
This man, who is a resident with us in supported accommodation, is working with the Family Drug and Alcohol Court, with the hope of becoming sole carer for his children. As this does not allow him to commit to work at present, he finds that exercise helps with his mental health. This man would appreciate some help with gym membership costs of £100 over the next four months. He is also in need of some photo ID, so would appreciate help with the cost of applying for a passport online, which would be £88.50. Thank you.
Still £190 left to donate
Total needed £190R is a mum of two who has currently lost her job and this is really affecting her mental health. She is really struggling with her youngest child, as he is very challenging, and is also struggling as her partner works away a lot and she has not got a lot of support with the children. Now R's washing machine has broken and she just hasn’t got any money to be able to get one. She has seen a second-hand machine for £200 and would be so grateful for any help.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200E, a single gentleman living on his own, has a chronic long-term condition. He has just received his refugee leave to remain in the UK and has been moved to a temporary accommodation which he shares with four others. Unfortunately, E has been cooking his food and puts it in a shared fridge, but wakes up to nothing. He is not working, due to his illness, and requests financial support to purchase a fridge freezer, some storage boxes, cabinets and TV for his room, to avoid losing his food stuffs.
Still £145 left to donate
