Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This lady has been rehoused by her housing association, due to severe damp and mould which has ruined her bedroom furniture and carpets. She has a six year old child and is the carer for her husband. The bedroom furniture will be replaced through funds from her housing association, but this will not cover the cost of carpets. We are able to source the carpet, but need help with the cost of the fitting. The current cold weather means the rooms are very cold. Thank you for your help.

Total needed £185This lady has had to leave her former home, due to severe damp and mould. She is a carer for her partner and also has a six year old child. The housing association is helping with the cost of furniture, but not floor coverings. We are able to source the carpet for free, but need help with the cost of fitting it on the hall, stairs and landing. As the weather is getting colder, this is more urgent, as the house is very cold. If you are able to help, it would be much appreciated.

Total needed £105J is a lovely woman who is moving into temporary accommodation and just coming in off the streets. She has suffered extreme violence, has now been diagnosed with liver cancer and been given a year to live. J remains positive and friendly, and is not pushy in any way about asking for help. Her stay will be made comfortable by a microwave, slow cooker, kettle, toaster, cooking pans and utensils. These items can move on with J when she gets permanent accommodation.
