Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
I had a chat with this client yesterday and she told me she has some health issues which are being impacted by not having a mattress. In fact, fourteen years she has slept on an old mattress or none at all. She has recently been moved into new accommodation, due to domestic violence, and would love to start afresh with somewhere comfortable to sleep to improve her wellbeing. As our client is in receipt of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, she has no money to put towards a replacement mattress. Thank you for considering this request.

Total needed £175J is a fifty one year old refugee who has fled abuse in her country of origin. Tragically, she lost her three children in a fire and this trauma, as well as health problems and homelessness, has been making life very difficult for her. J is in need of a warm clothing and waterproof shoes, and would be delighted with any help you can give.

Total needed £150K, who suffers from depression, was in a toxic relationship for many years and was a victim of prolonged mental abuse. She also suffers from ill health and had abdominal surgery a few months ago. K lives on her own, but recently was given a notice to vacate a flat she resides in. A removal company will handle the process, however, she cannot afford this unexpected expense, due to being in receipt of Universal Credit, thus living on a very tight budget.
