£0 remaining for a washing machine
M and her two children have had to move nine times in the last four years, fleeing domestic abuse. Mum has just moved to a permanent property and is hoping they are able to settle this time. She is reliant on benefits and support from the Foodbank at the moment, whilst she gets herself sorted out. M moved in a few weeks ago and we have helped supply most of the furniture required, but she is really struggling to afford to go to the launderette and would really appreciate a washing machine. Many thanks.
P, who moved into our accommodation after a long stay in prison, has now been out of prison for three years, has become a Christian, is working part-time and has moved into his own accommodation. He has been working hard to get the items he needs to furnish his new home, but is in need of flooring. P would very much appreciate some money towards carpeting his living room, especially as he is now in contact with his daughters and would like them to visit his new home.
ZR, who is from Afghanistan, has a husband and three children who have been settled in their house in Colchester for one year. They are on Universal Credit and have engaged with Bridgeway Mission, who support them with food, furniture and social integration. ZR's fridge freezer has broken beyond repair and she needs to buy a replacement. Please can you help?
This girl visited our centre with her family. They are currently homeless, as they are fleeing danger and violence in their country. While the council provided housing for the parents and younger siblings, the two older girls were deemed non-vulnerable and received no assistance. We cannot bear to see these girls end up on the streets, especially considering their limited English and the trauma endured. We urgently need your assistance to house this girl in a bed and breakfast for four nights.
