This request is for a king size mattress to replace the one she has lost (luckily she still has the bed frame) and enable her to begin building a new life with her children. A is a single mum with an 18 month old daughter. She is moving into her first home after living with relatives. She's isn't currently working and her only income is from Universal Credit. She has no savings and has incurred significant costs moving in. The property she is renting is with a local housing association and unfortunately it isn't carpeted. A is worried about this due her young child and the effect on her heating bills. We have an offer of free carpets, we just need help with fitting costs.

M has recently separated from his wife of over 20 years. He has been sofa surfing, living in a caravan and has recently been granted a property with a local social landlord. M can't work as he is disabled and his only income is from benefits. The new property he has been granted doesn't come with carpets.
