J has four children, two of whom are living with him currently, and he is in a battle to gain custody of the other two, due to the abuse they are suffering from their mother. He is doing amazingly! He was in a really high paid IT job, but had to give everything up to look after his children. We have helped him to go Bankrupt and now he is trying to make his two bedroom house nice for his four children. J is going to sleep in the lounge and really wants carpets for the children's bedrooms. Please could we help him to carpet one room?

Their previous tenancy was fully furnished and hence they will need to completely furnish their new tenancy. They have limited means and will struggle to buy everything at once. This young lady is a single mum with four children. Her bed has broken and, being on welfare benefits, she can't afford to replace it. She is struggling to make ends meets, generally with the increase in living costs, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

P is a lady aged fifty nine who has been referred to us. She suffers from Balance and Coordination problems, Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia and Depression. She is on benefits as she cannot work, due to poor health. She has a lot of incontinence and requires plenty of clothes washing, hence the reason she is asking for help. She cannot afford to buy a washer and dryer machine. Your help will be much appreciated.

E is a young mum with three children under the age of five. She is working hard to maintain a clean, tidy and organised home, but needs two sets of drawers in order to store clothes for herself and the children. At present the clothes are kept on the floor. E has been diagnosed with a mental health disorder and has recently split from the children's father, who is not currently providing any financial support for their children.

G is currently receiving treatment for substance misuse and is in recovery. This has recently become a struggle, along with his mental health problems, due to a recent death in the family. He engages well with our services and adheres to treatment. G has limited finances and the cost of living rises are impacting his financial situation. He is wanting to apply for Personal Independence Payment and needs help with this.

This young lady is a single mum with a one year old child. She is on Universal Credit and has been without a fridge freezer for over six months, when her last one stopped working. With the increase in the cost of living, mum is finding it increasingly difficult to budget, with having to make numerous shopping trips per week, due to not having adequate cold storage for her food.

W is a single woman in her early fifties who lives alone and struggles with her mental health and experiences Psychosis. She was recently burgled and, although her Landlord repaired the lock, she still does not feel safe in her own flat. W is an active member of our congregation and approached us for help to make her door more secure and discourage the burglars from coming back. Her neighbours are hostile and she would like her home to feel like a place of safety once again. Please can you help?

I am fundraising for a chronically ill lady on a low income to buy a washing machine. She is currently struggling to wash her clothes in the bath, which is exhausting, and exacerbates her health issues. She often cannot afford to heat her property and has to choose between food and bills, due to being on a very low income. A washing machine will make a huge difference to her wellbeing and confidence and allow her to live more independently, as she will have more energy for her daily needs. Thank you!

Mr A is a newly granted refugee and his daughter has just joined him through a family reunion visa. He is a single dad and hasn't seen his daughter for 3 years. They have just rented an unfurnished house and are going to move in as soon as they are able to obtain white goods and furniture. They are due to receive support regarding the white goods, however they need help to buy two beds.

M is a single parent with three young children aged 5 and under. She has moved into a flat which is unfurnished, and she does not have any savings or sufficient income to purchase any furniture. She'd really like to be able to purchase some basic wardrobes to keep the family's clothes protected, a vacuum cleaner to keep the house clean and a table-top mini grill so that she can cook more healthy, varied and affordable meals.

K is a single mum to four kids, having fled domestic violence. She is currently struggling financially and her washing machine has started leaking, meaning she has been having to take all of the family's laundry to the Launderette. This is very time consuming and expensive, and a replacement washing machine would make a huge difference to the family.

N is a refugee who has just been granted leave to remain. This means she has to immediately move out of her temporary accommodation (which is furnished). She has secured a new social housing flat, but it is unfurnished. Her only income is Universal Credit and she cannot afford to purchase much furniture. A fridge freezer would mean that she can shop more cheaply and healthily and look after herself as she makes a fresh start.

K has been working with Christians Against Poverty to pay off her debts, and is making good progress to get her finances sorted. Unfortunately, a friend's teenage child caused an accident which resulted in severe burning to her living room carpet. She now owes her Landlord money towards the repairs, on top of her other debts, and the stress is weighing heavily on her. Please can you help?

This mum of four has been moved into a safe area after spending some time in a women's Refuge. Her children are aged between one and eight years old. One of the children is disabled and creates a lot of laundry. During the hot weather, mum has been washing by hand and drying outdoors. This will prove more difficult as the weather gets cooler, so a washing machine will be very important for her.
