Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

K has severe post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), due to previous trauma in her life. She also has acute struggles with her mental health and suffers from poor mobility. K lives alone with her three cats and spends a lot of time indoors, which exacerbates her mental health struggles. She desperately needs new flooring for her bathroom, as currently it is damaged and not fit for purpose. K has taken positive steps in the last few months and has even started going to church, with help from a friend, which has been so positive for her.

Total needed £190R, who left supported accommodation in September 2024, has worked hard to make a home for himself in his new flat. He has managed to get a cooker, but has been without a washing machine for a long time and is currently having to ask his neighbour to help him. R would love to get his own washing machine. He is working hard at his recovery from addiction and has been engaging with our support groups over the last year. Being able to get the washing machine would be a huge boost for him.

He also serves other guests through our Guest Trainee programme. A has just moved into his first permanent home having been granted asylum, but it was completely bare and unfurnished. Total needed £200We have been supporting S, a young lady who is fleeing a very difficult situation, including domestic violence, for about a year. Through your recent kindness, we have been able to put some carpet down, have sourced free furniture and have begun to make it a lovely space for her to enjoy and relax, which has really helped her mental health. S would love to get some flooring for her hallway, as it is bare wood and in poor condition. Any help you could offer would make a huge difference.
