Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

B, a single mum to two children, has recently been given leave to remain. She has left her National Asylum Support Service (NASS) accommodation and moved into temporary accommodation. B is currently waiting for her benefit claim to come through and is struggling financially to manage, so is living off foodbanks and the kindness of charities, whilst her benefit claim comes through. B is struggling to afford a washing machine, as there isn't one available to her, and a vacuum cleaner to keep her flat clean. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Total needed £150G is a lovely eighty three year old gentleman who we suspect is suffering financial coercion, but we cannot prove it yet as he is too afraid to tell us very much. When we recently did a home visit, we found his fridge freezer is not working properly. It has mould inside and has a terrible smell, and is also not as cold as it should be. G has his pension coming in, although we don`t know where it goes. He is a very proud man who feels ashamed he is having to ask for help at his age. Please can you help him?

Total needed £200I am working with a single parent who has five dependent children. Mum is living on a very low monthly income and is struggling to make ends meet. Her mum has just passed away and she cannot afford the travel costs to attend the funeral. A one-off payment would cover her flight to Lagos and allow her to properly commemorate her mum and to be with her family at this difficult time. This parent is attending appointments with our debt advisor.

He is very keen to use the time while he is waiting to receive leave to remain, and he is accessing all courses that are available to improve his English. Total needed £190Mum, who has epilepsy, is a single parent with two children. She isn't working at the moment and is struggling financially. They would love to have a large outdoor storage box to safely store her children’s electric scooters and bikes. Currently, they have to store them indoors because they are electric and this has led to a clustered living area with not much space for her children to play. This outdoor storage box would also help mum to improve and keep on top of the home conditions.

Total needed £180Mum, a single parent looking after her three children, is struggling with her mental health and also struggling financially. Mum doesn't have any furniture to store clothes and they are piling up around the home. Having a chest of drawers will ease the pressure of living with clothes piled up, and improve the home conditions. This will provide mum with space to rest and relax, which will also improve her parenting and feelings towards living in the home. Thank you!

She has a six year old child and is the carer for her husband. The bedroom furniture will be replaced through funds from her housing association, but this will not cover the cost of carpets. Total needed £185This lady has had to leave her former home, due to severe damp and mould. She is a carer for her partner and also has a six year old child. The housing association is helping with the cost of furniture, but not floor coverings. We are able to source the carpet for free, but need help with the cost of fitting it on the hall, stairs and landing. As the weather is getting colder, this is more urgent, as the house is very cold. If you are able to help, it would be much appreciated.
