Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
This single mum is living at home with her little girl and is trying to rebuild her life after struggling with substance misuse. She has been engaging so well with support, and is trying to get on top of the home conditions. Mum is struggling financially and is really behind with her washing so is feeling overwhelmed. She would love a tumble dryer, as the flat that she is in is very unhygienic and damp. This would mean she can quickly and safely dry the clothes, keeping them from smelling damp. Thank you for your support.

Total needed £200This single mum, who regularly comes to our food pantry, has finally been given a home, however it is unfurnished. Total needed £200C, who has three adult children, has been plunged into debt through ill health, mixed with varying work patterns, which has meant she has had several overpayments of benefits. She has had to repay this on only the most basic income. During this time, C's garden has become a dumping ground for old electrical items and other rubbish. It would remove a little bit of misery if her garden was cleared, whilst Christians Against Poverty helps her deal with the bigger financial pressures.

Total needed £150E, a single mum to two teenagers, is getting used to relying on benefits after a string of bad luck. She had three people drive into her within two weeks of starting a new, well paid job. This has left her with physical and emotional health difficulties. The car was also written off, which left her unable to travel to work, meaning she lost her job and can no longer afford the repayments on her debts. E is working with us to mange her money and get back into work. Please can you help us support her over Christmas with a food voucher and utilities?

Total needed £200R, a single mum with three children, has fled domestic violence and been rehoused. The children wear a particular kind of clothing, due to religious reasons, so clothes need washing regularly. Mum struggles to wash constantly by hand, and needs to wash the bedding which is too heavy for her. They have no family to help them, as they are not on speaking terms, which has made R very isolated and alone. She is waiting for her benefits to be processed, so cannot afford a washing machine.

Total needed £200This single mum, who is struggling to make ends meet on a very low income, and in debt, is in need of a living room carpet. The previous carpet in the property had been cleaned many times, but was too dangerous to leave down, as it had holes and became a trip hazard for the family. We have rugs down currently, as the floor is concrete and cold, and mum just cannot find any way of buying a living room carpet
