Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
MH has been suffering from a condition that caused incontinence. She is on a low income and has been sleeping on a recliner chair because she cannot afford a new mattress to replace her old one. MH is receiving support to apply for her disability benefits, but this could take several weeks. She is in need of a new double mattress and mattress protector

Total needed £200W is a single person who is living in rented accommodation and currently claiming Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments. He was in a car accident which caused serious damage to his back, preventing him from working. W's fridge freezer has recently broken, preventing him from storing food, and he now has to go shopping more often, causing severe pain. W would usually limit going out because of this and buy food in bulk to freeze, making his life much easier. A fridge freezer would really help him out.

Total needed £200R, who has fled domestic violence and is under police protection, is in need of warm clothing as her ex-partner destroyed them so she could not go out. R is small so will share the older children’s clothes. All five children are in need and R, who has no relatives or friends to help, has no benefits until her visa is processed. Some charities have helped with food and a few clothes, but the children have no boots for wet, cold weather and are sharing shoes and clothes.

Total needed £100This single mum, who is living at home with two children, has been through a really difficult time recently and is trying to rebuild her life. She is engaging really well with programmes, and is trying to make her house a home. Mum, who is struggling financially, has no washing machine, so we are hoping that, with some financial donations, we can order her a replacement. This will make a huge impact on the family and help mum keep on top of the washing. Thank you.

Total needed £200Our contact is a single mum to three children. One of the children has an Education Health Care Plan, a diagnosis of autism and additional presenting needs. The young person has a specific diet which is hard to manage at present, due to the family not having a fridge freezer. They are having to live day-by-day as they cannot keep fresh or dairy products at present. This is impacting on an already stressed mother and a difficult educational situation. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Total needed £200This gentleman is responding really well to his support plan and is making great progress. He is a Christian man who loves Jesus, and has recently moved into our 'move on' property. This has moved him a bit away from college, so he would really benefit from a bike to get him there and back. This gentleman has a laptop for his studies, however, it is not in full working order so he needs it repairing.

Total needed £200R is an asylum seeker who has just started courses at our local college.
