£200 needed for supply and fit a bedroom carpet
S, who has fled domestic violence with her children, has been rehoused and is in need of a bedroom carpet for the three children who will be sharing the same room. The bedroom has bare floorboards and one child has already hurt his toe while playing. S is waiting for her benefits to be processed and is suffering depression, due to all the stress. Her family live too far away to help. Please can you help her?
£200 needed for a bed, mattress and chest of drawers
Mum left the family home with three teenage children, due to suffering mental and physical abuse from her husband. She has not been able to take any household items with her. Mum has not worked for ten years, as she was caring for the family. She is being provided with food bank support and, with your kind donations, we want to provide a bed, mattress and chest of draws for one of the children. This is the first of two requests.

£200 needed for a sofa bed
S, who has been recently widowed, has five children to support. She works part-time, but has been struggling financially to manage alone, due to the cost of living and bills increasing. She receives no benefits for two of the children and is being supported by Children's Services and Citizens Advice Bureau for budgeting. S's sofa bed has recently broken, meaning that she has to sleep on the floor, to allow her children to sleep in the beds, and has no bed for herself. She would be so grateful for any donations towards this.
£120 needed for grocery shopping vouchers
M is a single mum who suffers with severe anxiety and depression, due to being a victim of domestic abuse. She also suffers from asthma, fatigue, insomnia, migraine and has neck and back issues. M has had to reduce her working hours, due to her health, and is struggling with debt. She has reached out to Citizens Advice Bureau and they are helping to provide advice regarding her debts. Please would you consider supporting this family with some funds towards food and essentials whilst they receive help? Thank you.
£160 needed for a dehumidifier
H is a refugee who suffers from significant health issues, one of them being rheumatoid arthritis. The council house he lives in is very humid and he has been advised by his consultant that he needs a good dehumidifier to prevent further deterioration. The more economical ones, unfortunately, have very high running costs and are not efficient enough. H can’t afford the costs for a better and efficient one. Thank you so much for helping him to get better health again.
£100 needed for travel and food
S is a young person seeking asylum in the UK. We are supporting them with their immigration case and other positive activities e.g. youth activities and English classes. They have applied for asylum support funding for destitution relief, but this is expected to take at least one month to be processed. They urgently need financial support to cover travel costs in London to visit their solicitor and caseworker (£10 each time), as well as money for food for the month.
£200 needed for beds
This request is for a family of four who are in desperate need of two beds. All the beds they have are very well worn, with springs are coming through mattresses and the bed bases are broken. They are very low on funds and can’t afford to buy beds as they struggle to meet even their daily needs. The adults in the family are unable to work due to ill health and claim disability benefits, which is what they live off.
£100 needed for a phone
S is an asylum seeker. She is receiving very little financial support, and it hardly covers her food and travel. Her phone has recently broken and she does not have the means to replace it. She is trying to get legal representation for her asylum claim and apply for college. Without this, she is unable to engage with any of the above, or stay in touch with family, and this will have a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. Having a phone keeps her connected to her community and professionals.
