£150 needed for a bed frame
This gentleman is 6ft7 and needs an extra long bed. He is currently sleeping on the floor which is affecting his mental and physical health. He does not have the means to be able to buy this for himself. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.
£185 needed for a new bed frame
Our client recently moved to the area, fleeing domestic violence. Unfortunately, she wasn't supported during this at all. She had to take out a loan to cover the moving costs. The client is disabled and so needs an orthopaedic mattress, which we are funding through other avenues. Her current bed frame is falling apart and so we would like to get her a new one. To top things off, due to the move her benefits have changed from the previous system to Universal Credit, which has caused a period of time with no money.
£100 needed for an Asda voucher
K is a single lady with multiple health problems and as a result she is on long term sick leave and cannot work. As such she is only in receipt of benefits, and is struggling to buy food once all her household bills are paid. K is hoping her benefits will be increased after a review, which is due shortly, but until then she would appreciate a voucher to tide her over, enabling her to buy food and essentials and not worry where her next meal is coming from.
£200 needed for a Council Tax debt
R is really struggling with his debts. He currently has his gas capped due to huge debt and now has the high court enforcement agency attending his home due to an unpaid Council Tax bill of £452. Our team is supporting him with his debt management and has spoken to the enforcement agency who has put the account on hold for 28 days. We can then ask for a repayment plan. £200 towards his council tax debt would really help make the repayment plan more manageable for him. Any support is appreciated.
£150 needed for a mobile phone and essential clothes
K has recently been moved from one shared accommodation to another due to being bullied and abused. Due to the risk elements surrounding her most recent move, she has been unable to collect her belongings and has had to leave everything behind in her last accommodation. She has lost all her clothes and also her mobile phone, which she needs for Universal Credit to contact her. We would really like to buy her another phone and some essential clothes including underwear, with any donations.
£200 needed for a fridge
J suffers with depression and a severe medical condition, which has led him to struggle with his finances. Unfortunately, several of his white goods have gone wrong recently including his fridge and he is extremely worried because his medication has to be stored in there. Any funds to go towards a new fridge for him would be most appreciated.
£200 needed for a house deposit and van removal
L came to us homeless and in need of a safe place to stay, somewhere to call her own. She has worked extremely hard on improving her life and preparing herself to live independently, and has done a great job at achieving all of this. L would be so grateful for any support in securing her lovely new home with a social housing deposit and a van to move her belongings to make the property feel like her home and begin the next stage of her life.
£200 needed for flooring
A young family with two children aged 2 and under, have been working hard on their home conditions. The family are in desperate need of new living room flooring to make it an appropriate place for the children to play and to help improve the parents' well-being. The parents are not currently working but are desperate to do so. As they are not in employment, finances are very difficult for them and they are unable to cover the cost of a new floor. The family would be very grateful for this help.
£200 needed for a cooker
S has no cooker, and is struggling financially because Universal Credit and PIP (Personal Independence Payments) have stopped her money. She is diabetic, and needs a cooker to enable her to cook fresh, healthy meals for her diet- ready meals put her at risk of going into hospital. She comes to our café at church on a Thursday, where she can get a fresh meal for a reasonable price. She moved to Rochdale recently because she had to leave her last home because there was a drug problem. She left her belongings when she moved into a flat and is sleeping on the floor at the moment.
