£200 needed for a bed
K has a problem with severe mould in her flat, which has affected her health and her bed, and she is currently sleeping on the sofa. She receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, but a very low amount which barely covers costs. K has a number of health conditions including a knee injury, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. The council is currently working on the mould condition in the flat and we are requesting £200 for a new bed for when the mould condition is sorted. Thank you for your help.
£180 needed for cooking utensils, an air fryer and food
S is a refugee from Iraq who moved to Birmingham this week. His Universal Credit payments have been stopped, due to an incomplete and overdue to-do list, so he currently has no income to support his daily living. S is deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other, which also makes life very difficult and, along with his lack of English language, he cannot find a job. Any donations would support his daily living costs, including kitchen utensils, an air fryer and food so he can cook meals for himself.
£200 needed for a fridge freezer
Help is needed for a mum of three to replace her broken fridge freezer. This lady has health problems and is undergoing more tests for a problem with her vision. She is unable to work and has received help from the local foodbank. Unfortunately, mum has no savings and her low income from Universal Credit means she is unable to save enough to replace her fridge and freezer. Having to buy fresh food daily for her family is very expensive and a replacement fridge freezer would make a huge difference.
£100 needed for grocery shopping vouchers
J is a middle-aged gentlemen who has fallen upon hard times. He was a builder by trade, but his health put a stop to this and he is seeking employment. J had been living in a tent, following the loss of his job, but is now sofa surfing, living on £26 per week, and is no longer allowed to use the Foodbank. J is receiving help from Citizens Advice Bureau regarding housing, debts and maximising his Universal Credit income. Please would you consider supporting this gentlemen with some funds towards food? Thank you.
£200 needed for a bed, mattress and wardrobe
D has been living in shared/supported accommodation for many years, but has recently managed to secure full-time employment in the catering industry (he is a qualified chef). Due to living in supported accommodation, he can only work sixteen hours a week or he will be evicted. D has been able to obtain a one bedroom flat which he will move into on the 26th May. It is partially furnished, but does not have a bed or a wardrobe. Please could we request donations to obtain a bed, mattress and a wardrobe for him?
£200 needed for carpet fitting
B is a single parent who had been living in a women's refuge with her children, after fleeing domestic violence. She isn't working, has no savings and her only income is Universal Credit. B entered the refuge with only the clothes on her back, and is now rebuilding her life. She has been granted a property with a local social landlord, but there are no floor coverings down. B has been given free carpets, but help with the fitting cost would be a dream come true for her and truly allow her to begin again.
£150 needed for a tablet
S is a refugee who has been living in Lancaster for a while. He has been going through very difficult times which have affected his mental health and his ability to work and learn. Through encouragement and support, he now wants to take the first steps to look after himself and achieve additional certificates in order to find a job. For S to access online courses and learning, he would hugely benefit from having a tablet. Thank you for any help you might be able to give.
£200 needed for carpets and curtains for the children's bedroom
We are asking for your help to purchase carpets and curtains for the children's bedroom in our client's new accommodation that he has moved into with his two young daughters. He would love to have his daughters' bedroom set up with carpet and curtains. This will help to make the accommodation feel more homely for his daughters.
£200 needed for food, travel and toiletries
This young lady, who has failed her asylum claim, along with her brother, has no access to access public funds and is struggling to maintain a living with adequate resources. These funds will be used to provide three weeks worth of food and travel tickets plus some toiletries to enable this young lady to remain active in community learning and events for her wellbeing.
